She quietly enters and leaves the fray was premiered by Solange Gulliaume during the proceedings of the 2008 International Computer Music Conference in Belfast, Ireland. It has been performed frequently since its premier, and has been programmed on several other noted events (New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Arts, and the American Composers Forum’s annual Member Showcase).
She quietly enters is a sister piece to Broken Grooves, a work with the same instrumentation and a similar set of compositional goals. A third work, meant to complete a set of three, is in progress.
